Qualifications

Tim Parkinson has worked with various churches in the Houston area for the past 30 yrs. He is an ordained minister and worship leader as well as an guitarist and independent music/video producer. He currently works from his home studio.

Tim teaches guitar in his studio, as independent producer of music and video projects.
Super Friday, homeschool private education, two teaches harmonica, guitar, ukulele, photography and videography.

As a songwriter, arranger, guitar teacher, publishes original praise worship music since 2007 and has written over 70 songs, a number of which are sung and performed in local Houston churches every week.
Studying the “Equal Interval System of Composing Arranging” with Hollywood hit film music arranger, David Blumberg (private lessons).

Arranged orchestrated music, played guitar conducted orchestra for “John Osteen” 60 min. TV program for Lakewood from 1988-2001
Recorded mixed mastered “Live from Lakewood Church” 90 min. video audio cassette for Lakewood in 1998
Arranged orchestrated music, played guitar  “Lakewood Live” 90 min. TV special CD for Lakewood in 2001
Produced, recorded, arranged “Christmas from Lakewood” instrumental CD for Lakewood in 2001
Produced, recorded, mixed mastered “Songs of Zion” CD for IHCS in 2005
Arranged orchestrated music, played guitar directed 4 hour Christmas Special in Hong Kong, China, at the World Expo Stadium, in 2004.  Arranged Christmas music to be sung in English and Chinese languages by 26 musicians and singers (half from each country) Rehearsed directed musicians, worked with concert sound lighting, and interfaced with Hong Kong recording artists and directed bands for their segments.
Produced, recorded, mixed mastered original “SONGWRITER” CD for 2006.
Independent producer of various audio and music video projects 2007-present

Has studied played fretted stringed for 43 yrs. Including acoustic electric guitar, classical guitar, guitar synth, bass, steel guitar, pedal steel, mandolin, ukulele.
Has taught guitar other fretted instrument lessons (individual, groups, classes) for past 30 yrs in music studios, stores and schools. Experienced, teaches and is fluent in most genres of past contemporary music including, rock, jazz, country, classical, folk, funk, ethnic styles, pop blues.
Has played professionally for 40 years in multiple groups and settings including, big band, contemporary orchestra, jazz combo, country bands, rock bands, solo jazz guitar, solo classical, fingerstyle pop guitar, various ethnic musical groups, pit guitarist for shows.
Has recorded as studio guitarist (in the various styles mentioned above).

Tim Parkinson has been teaching guitar since the age of 16. He has taught private lessons , groups lesson, in school and college and is currently teaching at HomeRun Ministries Super Friday classes, where he teachers Guitar and Ukulele as well as harmonica.
